AN IMAGINARY TALE REGARDING THE N.O.H.S. CLASS OF 1966
TOLD BY WILLIAM W. MILLAR
40TH REUNION, PENN NATIONAL, JULY 22, 2006

When I received the invitation from Donald Luckenbaugh to attend the 40th reunion of the class of 1966 and I read that I would be expected to make a few remarks regarding some incidents of that illustrious class. I became panic stricken and suffered a huge senior moment. I could not remember anything about the class of 1966 or for that matter any other classes from the 1950's or 6o's. Then I remembered I had copies of the Memento. So I went up to my attic and retrieved the 1966 Memento. So I perused it all the names and pictures drew a blank in my mind. For sometime now I had been wondering if I was losing my mind and now I was certain I had finally lost it. I . I could go back to the guidance office of good old N.O.H.S. and retrieve all the records of the class of 1966. But how could I get the records without the signed permission of all those former students. Then I thought about all the talk about terrorists and terrorism. So I polished up my old fake FBI badge which I have often used in the past to get information illegally.

Then I went to the guidance office, flashed my badge and explained I needed all the records of the class of 1966. Then the guidance counselor questioned my reason for requesting only the records of the one class and I told him I was looking for terrorists and I had a strong suspicion that the class of 1966 was also a class of holy terrors.

Well, after searching through all the records I could not find any solid evidence that proved that they were a class of holy terrors. Then I thought, how could I make it up to them for having my doubts about them. Then a brilliant idea hit me. Since I had all their records in hand why not bring them all along to the reunion and read all their last report cards to refresh their memories on how well they achieved scholastically. I hoped this would cheer them up and incline them to forgive me for having doubted them.

Then reality set in and I realized that I could be sued for invasion of their privacy. Therefore, I intended to return the records to the guidance office, but I forgot where I put them. I hope someone finds them and returns them to the guidance office.

When it comes to memories, all the ones I have of the N.O.H.S. class of 1966 are the greatest.
