Outstanding Alumni Award to Patricia Miller Staub - Class of 1951

Patricia Miller Staub, was the recipient of the 2009 NOHS Alumni Association Award.
She has spent a significant amount of her time volunteering for a number of
organizations. She has been involved in girl scouts as a troop leader, her children's
classrooms, Sunday School teacher and the New Oxford Fire Company Auxiliary. She
has held numerous positions and offices with the auxiliary. After retiring she
volunteered at Cross Keys Village - The Brethren Home Community transporting
residents to the Beauty Shop and also did some research work for the public relations
department. She currently volunteers for the Local sector of Adams County Meals-on-
Wheels program and participates in fundraising activities at her church.
She is secretary of the local chapter of A.A.R.P. starting and is responsible for their
monthly newsletter. Miller has been dedicated to the Alumni Association's annual
Alumni banquet. She has spent a large amount of her time over the years to organizing,
preparing and orchestrating the event. She is a 1951 graduate of New Oxford High
School and was married to the late Bill Staub. She has two sons and a daughter and six
grandchildren.
